While every day looks different, each is filled with diverse but equally enriching activities.
🥮 Cultural Immersion and Seasonal Themes
Each camp connects to a meaningful Chinese festival or cultural theme—from the Mid-Autumn Festival to Lunar New Year, and from the Dragon Boat Festival to Autumn Harvest.
Children explore real-life traditions through stories, crafts, songs, and games—and learn the language in context, building cultural understanding naturally and joyfully.🍳 Hands-On Cooking and Creative Arts
Kids roll, wrap, stir, and paint their way through culture! Our Junior Chef activities include making dumplings, rice flour mooncakes, and spring rolls, while art projects feature both traditional and modern Chinese art forms—from brush painting to clay creations.
🤖 STEM and Robotics Exploration
Our Mindful Makers STEM sessions introduce students to science and robotics with a cultural twist! From building their own “Chang’e-1” lunar machines during the Moon Festival to exploring ancient Chinese inventions, students practice teamwork, design thinking, and problem-solving in both English and Chinese.
🎭 Stories, Music and Movement
Each camp includes opportunities to listen, sing, move, and act out Chinese stories. Through music, rhythm, and drama, children strengthen their listening and speaking skills while connecting emotionally to language and culture.
🏞️ Field Trips and Real-World Learning
When the weather is good, we extend learning beyond the classroom with full-day or half-day cultural field trips to explore Chinese heritage in our community.
From walking tours in San Francisco’s Chinatown and visits to the Asian Art Museum, to nature-inspired outings celebrating seasonal change, these experiences allow students to see, hear, taste, and live the language in real-world settings.
