Spring is a season of renewal, growth, and celebration. Our Spring Camp brings children an immersive experience in Chinese language, culture, and traditions, using hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive learning. This year’s theme is “A Joyful Rain in Spring” (春夜喜雨), inspired by Du Fu’s famous poem, highlighting the beauty of nature and its connection to Chinese culture.

  • Recite and appreciate Du Fu’s classic poem about spring rain and renewal.

  • Create Chinese calligraphy and ink wash paintings inspired by the poem.

Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a time to honor ancestors and appreciate the beauty of spring. During camp, students will:
Learn about Qingming traditions through storytelling and hands-on crafts.
Make and taste Qingming Festival foods, such as Qing Tuan (green mochi).
Understand how this festival connects to nature, respect, and remembrance.
