Regular Pick Up: 3:00pm to 3:15pm

Extended Care: 3:15pm to 5:30pm

Location: 2040 Pioneer Ct, San Mateo

Chinese food lunch with fresh, seasonal fruits and juice can be ordered at $15 per day.

Spring is a season of renewal, growth, and celebration. Our Spring Camp brings children an immersive experience in Chinese language, culture, and traditions, using hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive learning. This year’s theme is “A Joyful Rain in Spring” (春夜喜雨), inspired by Du Fu’s famous poem, highlighting the beauty of nature and its connection to Chinese culture.

📜 古诗学习 | Chinese Poem Learning –《春夜喜雨》

  • Recite and appreciate Du Fu’s classic poem about spring rain and renewal.

  • Create Chinese calligraphy and ink wash paintings inspired by the poem.

  • Engage in rain-themed storytelling, sensory activities, and art exploration.

🎨 桃花折扇 | Traditional Chinese Fan Peach Blossom Painting

  • Paint beautiful peach blossom designs on traditional folding fans.

  • Learn about the symbolism of peach blossoms in Chinese culture.

🌿 大自然植物染布 | Color Play: Flower and Plant Dye

  • Use natural dyes from flowers and plants to create beautiful fabric prints.

  • Learn about eco-friendly textile traditions in Chinese history.

🪁 绘制风筝 | Kite Designing, Crafting & Flying

  • Create and decorate traditional Chinese kites with raindrop and floral themes.

  • Discover the history and importance of kite flying in Chinese culture.

🍚 五彩饭团 | 5-Color Healthy Rice Ball Cooking Activity

  • Make delicious, naturally colored 五彩饭团 using healthy ingredients.

Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a time to honor ancestors and appreciate the beauty of spring. During camp, students will:
✅ Learn about Qingming traditions through storytelling and hands-on crafts.
✅ Make and taste Qingming Festival foods, such as Qing Tuan (green mochi).
✅ Understand how this festival connects to nature, respect, and remembrance.
