Fall Break Camp (October 7-11) - Chinese Food, Herb & Medicine

In Chinese classics, Fall is the season of harvest and storage our essence. What a perfect time for kids the visit our herbal garden in San Carlos and harvest some Chinese herbs that we planted! Join us for a full-day camp during the fall break that offers an engaging and immersive experience in Chinese culture, specifically designed for children aged 6-10. Our camp features a variety of fun and educational activities, including:
Tea Exploration: Students will learn about and taste different types of herbs, including traditional Chinese herbal teas. They’ll get hands-on experience in preparing and serving tea, discovering the cultural significance behind each cup.
Cooking Adventures: Our young chefs will dive into Chinese cuisine, cooking simple, delicious dishes using traditional ingredients. They’ll learn about the role of herbs in Chinese cooking and create their own tasty snacks.
Cultural Learning: Throughout the camp, children will be introduced to Chinese language related to food and cooking, making learning both fun and practical.
Tai Chi Practice: Children will be introduced to the gentle art of Tai Chi, a traditional Chinese practice known for its health benefits. Through simple, age-appropriate movements inspired by nature, students will develop focus, balance, and relaxation while learning about the importance of mind-body connection in Chinese culture.
Creative Art Activities: From making herbal sachets to creating personalized tea blends, students will engage in a variety of hands-on projects that blend creativity with cultural education.
